Emiko Davies is a Tuscan-based cookbook author, writer, blogger and photographer. Half Japanese, half Australian, she has spent most of her life living abroad and since 2005 has called Florence, Italy, home. She is married to a Tuscan sommelier and they live in Tuscany with their young daughter.

Davies' first book, Florentine: The True Cuisine of Florence (Hardie Grant Books), which is full of her photographs of the Renaissance city, as well as the stories and history of the city's favourite dishes, was released in March 2016. She writes about Italian food traditions regularly for Food52, as well as Italian and Australian newspapers. Amanda Hesser calls her "The Renaissance woman of the internet era."
